Sebastian Rupp

Since his PhD thesis, Sebastian Rupp had been working with Listeria monocytogenes, investigating virulence factors and their involvement on cerebral infections. In the BIRD team he was focusing on cell death and translational regulation in the context of this bacterial infection.
Sebastian then decided to change gears with a second post-doc on coral symbiosis in the Guse lab in Heidelberg in Germany.
He is now working in the Netherlands as a scientific consultant for SVI, which develops the Huygens software for deconvolution of microscopy images.
